Am I the kind of person or organization you coach?

For individuals: My individual clients are people who are up to big and bold things in their worlds. They come to me because while things are "good" in their life & work, they want to live into their version of "great".

I’ve coached nearly 200 leaders including executive officers, solopreneurs, start-up founders, doctors, lawyers, creative directors, non-profit directors, college professors, retirees, venture capitalists, and other coaches.

I coach leaders across the age, gender, race, and political spectrums.

For teams / organizations: I support business partners, founder teams, leadership networks, start-up accelerators, and organizations as they navigate conflict, change, and growth. I draw on my training as a coach and years of experience as a CEO and start-up operator leading large global teams.

What do we talk about in coaching?

When clients work with me, they bring their entire lives - their work, life, and otherwise.

I've worked with clients to grow businesses, communicate more effectively, scale teams, raise / make more money, accelerate / decelerate their careers, and work through leadership challenges.

And, I've also worked with the same clients as they navigate relationship challenges, shifts in family responsibilities, work/life balance, finding more fun & joy in their lives, building community, and learning to engage more with their emotions.

Wait, this sounds a little like therapy?

Clients will almost certainly experience therapeutic benefits from coaching, and coaching with me is (generally) different from therapy in a few key ways:

-
Coaching is goal-focused and fully transparent. At the beginning, I get clear with my clients on what they're looking to accomplish and we accomplish those goals in time-bound containers between 6 months to 12 months. And, while coaching will talk about the past - the "what happened to you" - coaching is inherently more present and future oriented.
-
I don't believe clients have "problems" or "diagnosis" we're trying to fix in coaching. What I am interested in is what is and isn't working in someone's life. If it's working, great. And if it's not, we'll slow down together to get at what you want to do about it.
-
I tend to work with clients who often hold leadership roles in their business or organizations, and client appreciate my professional history as a CEO and leader of organizations as part of what I bring to their coaching conversations.

Ultimately, clients find the right mix of modalities and practitioners that work for them. I have clients who work simultaneously with a therapist while working with me. I also have clients who have completed working with a therapist, and have now found coaching the most impactful for this stage of their life.
I am a deep advocate for both therapy and coaching and have engaged with both in different phases of my life (and sometimes simultaneously).

Great, so how does this happen?
You bring your biggest challenges, problems, and hairy questions on life, leadership, and business, and we slow down together to solve them.

I'm not here to sell you on a solution, a methodology, or a quick fix. We'll slow down into deep conversations where we'll get clear on what extraordinary looks like for you and design a program to help you get there.

Packages range from 3 to 12 months and start at $7,500.

And, the best way to experience what this means is to have a complimentary coaching conversation with me.
Send me an email below, and we'll get something scheduled. Serious inquiries, only.
